Our project on the diversity, origin and diversification of the orchids from the Dominican Republic has been funded!

The Swiss Orchid Foundation has decided to support our project on the origin and diversification of the orchid flora of the Dominican Republic (108,000 GBP). We aim to place in the orchid tree of life all the known orchid diversity from La Hispaniola and provide means to conduct molecular species identification. A field guide will be produced too!
